I took the plunge and cancelled my Charter cable subscription. I feel quite liberated! Best of all, it will save me over $1500 a year, not taking into consideration how many brain cells I will save!
Served this curry over forbidden rice. Did not use pressure cooker, just cooked until sweet potatoes were tender (perhaps a little too tender?) Wonderful!
Made this soup last night and substituted kale for the collards, corn for the hominy and used 3 cups less stock. Cornbread came from this recipe. (as always, no need to use the oil.....)
George was at the end of the driveway, continuously barking (not unusual). I happened to look over and saw this verylarge "something" in the street making its way across Dogwood Trail from the swamp side towards the sound. I grabbed my camera, praying my dying batteries would last a bit longer, threw on my flip-flops and was out the door - it was a very large turtle. She (assuming gender) turned towards me and crouched down and allowed me one photo before resuming her journey (and it was all my camera allowed too)
Plants - tomatoes, radishes, eggplant, peppers, snow peas, zucchini, squashes, lettuce and cucumbers (can't see all in this pic) Pizza - tofu sauce with rotel tomatoes, "pepperoni", onions, peppers & shitake mushrooms (wonderful as always!)
What if it's like we are on a transatlantic flight where we are all passengers and are told to wait and just be patient. So we do, and when we land on the other side, it's over? That was on my mind this morning, my second day as a 36 year old woman. Wonderful dinner last night at The Pearl with Mary. The chef/owner created a vegan entree special for us - it was delicious. Mom sent a beautiful orchid and I felt quite blessed with all the birthday wishes I received!
I've been meaning to try this recipe from "Veganomicon" by Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero for quite a while. I did use the baked version rather than frying (375 for 20 minutes, flip, bake additional 10) - came out great! And way easy!
